"Sohaku"

A term representing a pure and innocent white, imbued with purity and serenity, noble and beautiful in its simplicity.

This piece is a reinterpretation in white porcelain of ceramist Ken Kondo's masterpiece, "Innocent Blue." It can be used for various purposes such as cups or sake bottles. The applied twists evoke the swaying of the atmosphere and the flow of water, reflecting the clear waterways, abundant nature, and gentle climate of his hometown, Fukushima.

"Innocent Blue" encapsulates the unchanging, innocent brilliance of the sky and sea of his hometown. This innocent color, in this work, is reinterpreted as "Sohaku" and transformed into a piece of art. The transition from blue to white, pure and innocent, embodies a profound light within its serenity.
